Nas - Hip-Hop Is Dead Track List (Revised)

The “official” track list for Hip-Hop Is Dead has changed for the upteenth time. I have no complaints this time, except that “QB True G’s,” the Dr Dre-produced collaboration with Game has mysteriously disappeared (is Fiddy really that powerful?) A few other tracks from the old list and the listening session were also x’d out and replaced with new joints.
Here we go again.
Nas - Hip-Hop is Dead Track List
1.)”Money Over Bullsh*t”
2.)”You Can’t Kill Me”
3.)”Carry On Tradition”
4.)”Where Are They Now”
5.)”Hip Hop Is Dead”
6.)”Who Killed It?”
7.)”Black Republican”
8.)”Not Going Back”
9.)”Still Dreaming”
10.)”Hold Down The Block”
11.)”Blunt Ashes”
12.)”Let There Be Light”
13.)”Play On Playa”
14.)”Can’t Forget About You”
15.)”Hustlers”
16.)”Hope”

Trent Says:
I asked this question before on another blog,so I’m going to ask this again.
Wasn’t Nas supposed to do a song called “Autobiography of KRS-One“?
If anyone has any pulled over at Def Jam, will someone tell Nas to put that song on the album.
The “Autobiography of Rakim” was a very dope track on Nas’ last album and I think he should continue the musical history lessons.
|
| 16. |
Enigmatik Says:
@ Trent - Nas said that he’s gonna do it on the follow up to this album.
|
| 17. |
eskay Says:
they better stop playing with me. If QB True G ain’t on this, I quit rap. (for like the 12th time this month, but whatever)
|
| 18. |
Tiffany Says:
Who says the decision to take the track off, had anything to do with 50, Jay, or anybody else. Maybe Nas took it off, because he wanted to use it for something different. That doesn’t mean it has to do with beef or tension.

Who knows?
But, hey, remember that Kingdom Come tracklist I posted a long time ago? Go back and look at it, then look at your Kingdom Come retail copy to see if it matches.
|
| 22. |
Rizoh Says:
Frankster, I’m sure the Game track is still there under a different title.
|
| 23. |
Rizoh Says:
@Tiffany: 50 Cent said he didn’t want Dre working with Game, that’s what I was getting at.
|
| 24. |
engineea Says:
Rizoh…no disrespect homie, but u said the same thing when u originally posted the first HHID tracklist a couple of weeks back.
Also….just got info on another board…a clean version of the track with Game has been released and its called “Hustlers”…it’s out there to be found.
|
| 25. |
Rizoh Says:
^The list I posted a couple weeks ago came from Def Jam. Folks that went to listening session can testify that those tracks do exist. You probably know this: nothing is etched in stone as far as the industry goes. The list I posted today could still change for all I know. I’m just trying to keep y’all informed.

HHID Says:
^^aight, thx man. i need to get one last info if u can but this is rather crucial!!
how come “white mans paper” aint on this new tracklist. i hooked up with afrykan who produced it & they certified him a few dayz ago that the joint made the final cut!!!
this is a major song on the lp, i cant imagine they cut it off…….
while ur at it lol, any news about new york stomp?
|
| 31. |
Rizoh Says:
They mentioned “White Man’s Paper” in the press release. It could just be that they renamed that song, or might add it at the last minute like they did “Hustlers”. We’ll see.
Haven’t heard anything about “NY Stomp.”
