Video: Akon feat. Snoop Dogg - I Wanna Love You

I was discussing this issue with a friend the other day: how come “f**k” is almost always substituted for “love” in hip-hop lyrics? Is there a censorship stipulation that enforces this queer substitution or what?

Because the word “love” makes the women forget the rest of the message of the song?

Bottom line society is going soft. I was just choppin it up with my son from Midi Mafia, we discussed how they say art imitates life. Everything right now is unbalanced in hip hop. Either you a pimp or a super trick, a thug or a book worm. Its sad that people really put these labels and expect cats to live with em.

Unfortunately, artists will continue to portray those images as long as people are willing to buy into it. Consumers are also at fault here, because labels only push what sells.
