Sorry, but that’s sh*t (imho). Plus I don’t understand what those window-blind glasses are all about. Personally, I think he should have just ditched the whole college-related themed covers/titles (and the bear mascot thing!) after the 1st album where it worked to help market a his brand, you could sorta feel how it tied in on the 2nd, but I think this has taken it a little too far!

Sure it fits his whole elevation/futuristic-ness but I think he just needs to drop the gimmicks and opt for an fresh, all-out, new concept for each album (he showed he could do it for the first one!)

But…I suppose it probably comes down to money!

@ Gezzius, I see where you’re coming from but he said from jump that this was how his timeline for all the albums he was going to do was going to be. So he’s trying to stick to the concept can’t fault him for trying to be consistent.

theres no way this would be the cover, hes going for the triple on this one, and to do that the theme would need to be similar to the previous album covers, so my bet is its kanye (in a bear suit?), graduatating, but its not from a college its from like,the slums? i dunno, but i think thats the angle hell try and work

@esbee, Ah…I wasn’t aware it was the plan from the jump-off. I thought, he was just (lamely) resorting to using the same formula, instead of being creative. I’ll let him off then…I suppose there’s not much you can do about it once you’ve made a full-scale plan!!!

I think Kanye would want something spectacular for the cover. He might do a 3-D cover with the dropout bear.

For the third album, Kanye has to pull out all the stops.

I don’t think Graduation is going to be a classic album. But it will certainly be the top album of 2007.

Common’s Finding Forever is absolutely great.

Trent, have you heard Finding Forever or were you commenting on the cover art?

I have heard the album. It’s available on the Internets. I don’t have full MP3’s to pass around to folks. To be honest, even if I had full MP3s to pass around, I wouldn’t do it. Common is an artist that all rap heads should buy whether you are a thug or backpacker. Period.

And I’m not talking about some “real hip-hop” vs. “commercial hip-hop” shit. I’m talking about Common who has been putting down great rap music since the ’90s.

I listened to the songs, to get a feel of the album. I do buy albums even though I’m a journalist. I don’t have a problem buying a Common or Kanye West album.

Anyway, I have listened to tracks from Common’s album and I think they are fantastic.

This shit is wacktastic. I’m glad DJ hasn’t finalized it…lol

Trent, we’re singing from the same hymn. I buy albums that I care about. Hell, I ended up with three copies of HHID (including the ones they sent me), and eventually gave 2 away.

At least it looks better than the other temporary cover art that hit the web a while back (http://www.prefixmag.com/images/blog/Kanye-West-Graduation-2.jpg). That looked like it was fake though, I wonder how it’ll look when the smokescreen clears.
