2008 Grammy Winners
With eight nominations we all expected Kanye to win some awards, but damn, he pretty much swept the hip-hop categories. I don’t know if they’re just handing him the trophies so they won’t have to hear him whine on stage.

- Best Rap Solo Performance for “Stronger”
- Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “Southside” (with Common)
- Best Rap Song for “Good Life” (Featuring T-Pain)
- Best Rap Album for Graduation
Mark Ronson:
- Producer of the Year, Non-Classical
Lupe Fiasco:
- Best Urban/Alternative Performance for “Daydreamin’”
Amy Winehouse:
- Best New Artist
- Song of the Year for “Rehab”
- Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
- Best Pop Vocal Album for Back to Black
- Record of the Year
Alicia Keys:
- Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “No One”
- Best R&B Song for “No One”
Rihanna/Jay-Z:
- Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Umbrella”
Barack Obama:
- Best Spoken Word for The Audacity of Hope (He edged out two ex presidents, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, to win this one)
