Snoop Dogg’s Ego Trippin’ Cover Art
Snoop says he’s going for dolo on this one, with no guest appearances whatsoever. I know of only three rappers that can hold down an entire album with no help (Nas, Em, and Jay), but I could also see Snoop pulling it off…in ‘94. We’ll see.

Update - Re: MCs that can hold down an entire disc without sounding redundant or monotonous. I forgot to mention Rakim, Scarface, Common, Royce da 5′9″, and Pharoahe Monch. What an atrocity? Can you think of anyone else?

Agree on Kanye, also Scarface, Mos Def, Common, Kweli, Lauryn Hill, Game, Beans, TI, Young Jeezy, and (if he got REALLY focused) Ludacris. I could probably come up with more if I put my mind to it.

Scarface and Common, yes. But I don’t see Game, Jeezy, and T.I. pulling it off. The three artists I mentioned have all dropped albums that had few guest appearances with good results. Fact: Two of Jay’s best albums, Blueprint and Black Album, featured 1 guest MC and 0 guest MC respectively.
