While I give it to the Rockets for this great spurt, you can’t really make a conclusive statement on a game where the Lakers were missing two of their star centers, while Houston still had the league’s 2nd all-time block leader.

I just love it when people try to find excuses as to why the other team didn’t beat the Rockets throughout this phenomenal streak. “Oh, they were missing so-and-so.” Have people forgotten that Rockets are winning without Yao, Francis, and Landry? Or is it just that hard to give props were props is due?

How many of the 22 that got defeated by the Rockets have losing records (i.e. below .500 averages)?

i figured they would have lost either to the bobcats or to the lakers. i was actually surprised with how well the houston bench did - i mean they carried the rockets in the first half w/ 0 points from t-mac.

then again, alston was a beast. i think the streak will end soon, though…

Um, Ivan…if my memory serves me correctly, the Rockets have SERVED the Lakers TWICE this season and won the season series. So…

Rockets>> Lakers

…and anyone who wants to discount the Rockets 22 game win streak should kill themselves.

The Rockets are the hottest team in the NBA and they are winning without their best player in Yao Ming (Avg. 22 pts, 10 rebounds)..The 22 game winning streak is impressive, and they’ve done it primarily with team defense, better 3 point shooting, and a solid bench.. Also, for about a couple of months, T-Mac has been playing like an MVP.

As a Rocket Fan, for most of my life, the streak is a beautiful thing.. The only way this season can be great is by winning the championship.

If they don’t win the championship, then they will be compared to the New England Patriots - great team but weren’t able to win it all.

Enigmatik: I meant historically. Plus, keep in mind that the Rockets’ winning streak is second to….. yes, you guessed it… the LAKERS….
