Green City, Scarface’s latest side project, will drop their debut on July 15th.

Cue the hype machine, The Game is back with yet another star-studded remix. He pretty much summoned all of 50’s adversaries plus some and asked them to rap like their life depends on the beat. Everyone came correct. Jadakiss was cool, but Bun murdered it.

Miss Jones and her crew have been removed from Hot 97 FM, according to Billboard:

New York hip-hop and R&B radio station Hot 97 (WQHT) announced today morning jock Miss Jones and the morning crew (Michael Sean and DJ Envy) will be relieved of duty as the current morning show “Miss Jones In The Morning” next week.

So, I’m guessing this means no more racist jokes on Hot 97. By the way, she’s been replaced by Big Boy.

Inasmuch as I’d love to tell you that this is the super-official tracklist because it’s label-approved, nothing is carved in stone as far as major releases go. At any rate, you’re welcome to throw a glance at the blueprint of Nas’ untitled album. (more…)

There’s a new song from Obie Trice called “Giant” that has been floating around the net lately. Trice reveals on that song that he’s finally dug himself out of the trenches of Shady Records. (When was the last time anyone dropped an album on Shady?)

Sample Lyrics:

“No more Shady. Maybe it was meant for me to branch out from a Caucasian friend. No more 2nd place to Eminem. If I Was 2nd is the question of many men. No disrespect to Em; he is 1st. Anything after, research the verses.”

Frankly, the song is terrible. Rambling, unimaginative lyrics is not how I remember Obie Trice. What happened to the clearheaded, funky fresh lyricist we once knew as O. Trice? Maybe he just needs time to gather his thoughts. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about the motives behind his exit in the weeks ahead.

I must confess, I just watched this 3 times in a row. No love for Teairra Mari?
