22!

Chamillionaire feat. Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Paul Wall, Trae, Bun B, Z-Ro, Pimp C.
Universal Records should be ashamed of itself for letting Koopa down on Ultimate Victory. That album is filled with gems, like this one, that people may never get to hear because of label politics.
[Props to Khal]
Chamillionaire brought his former nemesis Paul Wall onstage for a reunion performance yesterday. Cham was headlining this year’s BET College Concert at TSU (Texas Southern University), and decided to surprise fans with a powerful rendition of the CCC (That’s Color Changin’ Click for the uninitiated) classic “In Love with My Money.” What’s iller than two grown men putting their differences aside and moving on with life?
Performance footage below: (more…)
Half of you kids probably never heard of Big Moe, but he’s contribution to the game was relevant enough that it wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t pay my last respects. Moe was a founding member of the legendary Screwed Up Click. And if you know anything about the S.U.C., you know that Screw and co practically laid out the foundation for today’s Houston hip-hop scene.
From AHH:
Houston rapper Big Moe passed away early yesterday morning (October 14) due to complications from a heart attack, sources revealed to AllHipHop.com.
As previously reported, Big Moe, born Kenneth Moore, suffered a massive heart attack on Sunday (October 7) and had been a coma since he was hospitalized.
He never came out of the coma and was on life support 24-hours a day.
It’s sad to see all these S.U.C. legends dying off on a yearly basis. R.I.P. Moe.
Scarface - “Never”
Scarface who once said he’d never un-retire is back to saying ‘never say never.’ Can’t complain though, hip-hop could use a Brad Jordan album at this point. It’s obvious he has a new album in the works, even though the folks at the Black Oasis ignored all my inquiries on the issue. But that’s by the way…
Add Face’s rebound to the Steve Francis comeback and you’re in for an H-Town championship this year.
My track-by-track preview of Trae’s Life Goes On is now up at Vibe.com
Bottom Line: If you dug Restless, you’ll like Life Goes On.
Rob G ft. Fat Pat, Lil Keke, & A3 - Road to Success
Houston Hip-Hop 101 is now in session.
Most of you are familiar with DJ Screw, Big Hawk, and Fat Pat for obvious reasons (the last breed of ‘big’-name southern hip-hoppers before the prevalence of ‘lil’-name rappers…I suppose), but if you’re still unaquainted with Lil Keke, please recognize.
Taken from Rob G’s yet-to-be-titled debut album.
(Shoutout to OGPR)
