Chamillionaire was at Houston’s own 97.9 The Box to promote his new single, “Creepin’ Solo (featuring Ludacris),” and boy, was he crunk or what? To paraphrase Koopa, how can you hate this song?

Consider it my early Thanksgiving gift to you. Cham’s new album, Venom, is scheduled for early 2009 (which could mean anywhere from January to July). In case you missed it the first time, here’s his lead single, Creepin’ (Solo) featuring Ludacris.

Some freshly squeezed hip-hop goodness from Alchemist’s Cookbook EP. Kid Cudi continues to impress, and Blu still doesn’t know how to waste a rhyme.

Chamillionaire - “Creeping (Solo)” (Feat. Ludacris)
Check out Chamillionaire’s new street single from his upcoming Venom LP. I don’t think Luda’s presence was necessary on this. At some point, Cham will have to prove that he’s capable of holding down a single (or even an entire album) by himself if he wants to make that next step to the upper echelons of hip-hop greats.

I had a chance to check out Devin’s latest album, Landing Gear, and was surprised at how fast he plundered into redundancy. Inasmuch as I love Devin’s past work, I think he’s reached that dreaded stage in a rap career where every album sounds just like the last one.

Word in H-Town is that this is Scarface’s final album, but that’s if you still believe in hip-hop retirements. Emeritus is slated for December 2nd, 2008.
