Ice Cube - “Why Me?” Music Video (feat. Musiq)

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

I was pleasantly surprised by Cube’s album, Raw Footage. No, it wasn’t mindblowing, but he showed flashes of his old, raw self on many songs, including “Why Me.” Let’s face it, I don’t think anyone was expecting another Death Certificate after all those family movies.

Ice Cube - “Get Used to It” (ft. The Game & WC)
Rumor has it that the Game has been asked to replace Mack 10 in a new and improved Westside Connection. If “Get Used to It” is any indication of what they’re cooking up, don’t even waste my time with that weak sauce.

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

[First spotted at OnSmash]

Ice Cube - It Takes a Nation
Taken from Raw Footage, due in May.

I understand that rage has always been Cube’s mantra. Yet it seems like he’s directing most of his rage at wack rappers (rather than social ills) these days. But I doubt he’ll keep it up for an entire album, especially when there’s bigger fish to fry.

Is it just me or is that cigar smoke blowing in an awkward direction?

Ice Cube, a 16-year veteran in the film industry, has compiled a selection of his razor-sharp (and occasionally weak) movie soundtracks. Check out the tracklist after the jump (I’ve always wanted to say that): (more…)
