Jay-Z - VIBE Cover Shoot
Saturday, August 23rd, 2008
This guy obviously doesn’t like photo sessions, so I’m surprised to see that he gave VIBE as much as he did for the Juice issue. Watch and learn, young shutterbugs.

Jay-Z - “Jockin’ Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh)”
World, say hello to “Jockin’ Jay-Z,” the Kanye-laced single from Blueprint III.
Yea or Nay?
[Big shout out to all 7 TRU readers that emailed this to me earlier]
The little homey brings out the big homey for an onstage collabo. Classic.
Speaking of Jay, I wonder what he thinks of Jim Jones calling him a dweeb in a recent interview. “For you to watch some of your favorite rappers turn out to be a dweeb, sometimes it hurts you,” says the Kufi Smacker.
See the hilarious clip of Jimmy dissing Jigga below.

Yesterday, someone sent me an email with a silhouette version of VIBE’s 15th anniversary cover and the question: Who’s on VIBE’s 15th anniversary cover? I should’ve known from the jump. Jiggaman’s NY fitted is hard to miss.
I guess this means we should get ready for another Hovember onslaught.

Young Jeezy (Feat. Jay-Z) - “Put On” Remix
You can now add Jeezy to the list of artists murdered on their own sh*t by Jay-Z.
I’m all Glastonburied out this weekend, but this is definitely worth your time.
I’ll add more videos as they come. Thanks to everyone who emailed me so far.

So says our man in the U.K. who’s been giving us real time play-by-play of the show. You may recall that Noah Gallagher (from Oasis) was talking greasy about Jay and people were blaming him for poor ticket sales, so Jay seized the opportunity at Glastonbury and dissed the sh*t out of Oasis. He then freestyled over Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab,” before launching into “99 Problems.”
Some of the songs he’s performed at the festival:
More info and goodies after the jump.

If Shakir Stewart’s recent Billboard interview is anything to go by, Jay-Z has a new album cooking. Shakir didn’t say it outrightly, but he deferred to a “no comment” which pretty much sums it up. He also stressed that “Jay-Z is still a Def Jam artist.” Looks like Young Turbo is one album away from full Def Jam exit. With both LL and Jigga gone and Nas possibly looking ahead, it’ll be interesting to see how hip-hop DJ will still be.
