I saw this clip in my inbox a couple days ago and skipped it thinking it was one of those stan-ish “Vote for Obama or I’ll kidnap your babies” type songs. I was wrong. Ti$a (of Sa-Ra fame) turns the seriousness of will.i.am’s “Yes We Can” on its head, opting for a giddy, fun chant instead. Simply amazing.
Suddenly I feel like rollerskating.
A clip of Three-Six-Mafia on Numb3rs. Too violent for my taste.

He doesn’t mention Boo Boo by name, but you know Joey probably had his nemesis in mind while shooting this video. He even cherry-picked the guests to include people who’ve had issues with the G-Unit camp: Wayne, Khaled. Funny thing is, he’s better off making an argument based on skills rather than bragging about fake bills. 50 is notorious for calling out MCs that are significantly better on the mic — Sticky Fingaz, Jadakiss, Nas, Joe, etc — but he’s always come out unscathed for reasons other than emceeing.
I don’t understand why, but Lil Mama is mad underrated.

Estelle gave a stunning rendition of “American Boy” on David Letterman last night.
Lupe performed “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” on Carson Daly last night. Here’s Nikki Jean getting REALLY excited about her own performance.
