All this build-up is making me dizzy. Wake me up when Rising Down drops.
“Represent Me”
P shot a slew of music videos for his new album, HNIC 2, before going to jail. Why his camp decided to unveil all the videos at the same time I’ll never understand. Not complaining though.
Three more clips under the roof. (more…)
“I Don’t Really Like To,” from Shad’s The Old Prince LP
Ever since I stumbled on Shad’s music online, I’ve been telling everyone who cares to listen about this dude. You know how rappers always say they’re doing this for fun? Shad (short for Shadrach Kabango) exemplifies that 100%.
“Aw G, now you got me cocky
Cats say you the illest
I’m like ‘Nah B, nah B, nah B…’
Well OK, probably but that’s just only
’cause I rap like it’s my hobby
Not a jobby job, all sloppy and off key”
From the abundance of self-deprecating lines to the way he loosely spews each rhyme like it’s a freestyle, Shad sounds like he’s truly savoring every moment.
The song’s aight, but the video is slam dunk. H-Town, stand up.
As promised, here’s AC’s “Trapped on the Island” video.
[Spotted at GrandGood]
I’m feeling it like a fresh pair of white Nikes.
Directed by Dru Ha and the indomitable Rik Cordero.
Peep the synopsis that accompanied the video release. (more…)
Oh boy, more Obamamania.
6th Sense transforms a phrase from Common’s “The People” into a political anthem. I wonder, what will all these cheerleaders do if Obama doesn’t win?
Apparently, Percy Miracles is still alive.
